You make the difference – and we provide the framework!

Take a look at your everyday life: whether in your clothing, your smartphone, the wall paint, the tires of your car or in batteries – the industrial carbon blacks produced by Orion can be found in countless everyday products.

As a globally operating company, we not only deliver innovative solutions for our customers, but also create a working environment in which you can grow. We actively invest in your development and offer a compensation package that truly recognizes your performance. With us, you can expect not only a great workplace, but also the opportunity to actively shape the future.

Quality assurance at the Kalscheuren site is a central part of our production process. With a broad range of methods using over 30 different analytical procedures, we test the chemical and physical properties of our products. Here we ensure that our carbon black meets the highest standards – before it is used in products worldwide.

The job that makes you happy

    • Whether performing chemical-physical analyses, assessing product batches or approving them for further processing – you keep an overview, work in a structured way and make decisions with responsibility and foresight. You not only follow existing procedures, but also actively contribute to their further development: cost-effectiveness, significance and precision are always in focus.
    • Laboratory equipment is more than just tools to you – you know their characteristics, maintain them carefully and ensure through regular servicing and calibration that they are always ready for use. Your work is the foundation for reliable results and dependable quality.
    • Close collaboration with adjacent areas such as production, control room and innovation is just as much a part of your daily routine as the exchange with colleagues from other shifts. You are part of an interdisciplinary network that jointly ensures the highest standards – communicative, solution-oriented and with a clear goal in mind.

The profile that makes us happy

    • The basis for successful work in this position is a successfully completed vocational training as a chemical laboratory technician or chemical-technical assistant (all m/f/d), ideally with initial experience in wet-chemical and colorimetric analysis methods in the fields of pigments and fillers.
    • You enjoy working independently as well as handling complex tasks in a structured manner. You are reliable, think ahead and keep an overview even in a dynamic environment. Your communication skills are evident not only within the team, but also in dealing with other shifts and interfaces.
