    Production, the heart of our Kalscheuren (Cologne) plant, never stands still and works 365 days a year on the versatile manufacturing of industrial carbon blacks.

    The job that makes you happy

    • The production of carbon blacks is multi-stage and diverse: As a production employee, you are an essential part of our production process and, after onboarding or further qualification, you will be deployed in the areas of pelletizing, laboratory, reactor service, furnace black and control room.
    • You operate at our various production lines, adjust process parameters, keep transport and production paths clear, carry out inspection rounds, document important facts and maintain constant communication with the quality laboratory to ensure maximum product quality.
    • Over time, the complexity of your tasks increases: You instruct external personnel, start up and shut down systems, release system components for maintenance and repair work, and coordinate the bagging of powder blacks into sacks and big bags as well as their palletizing.
    • Your safety always comes first: In addition to wearing your personal protective equipment (PPE), we proactively assign you to remain constantly vigilant and comply with various safety measures.

    • The basis for successful work in this position is a successfully completed vocational training as a chemical technician, chemical plant operator or production specialist in chemistry (all m/f/d).
    • We place great value on further qualification and development of our employees: We are also happy to give career changers (m/f/d) with a technical background in fields such as mechanical engineering, industrial mechanics, electrical engineering, mechatronics or metalworking a chance.
    • For this position, you will be trained in our plant fire brigade and must first undergo the G26.3 suitability examination and wear full respiratory protection during fire brigade exercises and operations.

    37.5 hours per week | Full-continuous 5-shift model (Shift times: 6:00 AM – 1:00 PM, 1:00 PM – 9:00 PM, 9:00 PM – 6:00 AM) | Permanent employment | Cologne | 31 days of vacation | Salary range: €50,000 – €60,000 (according to chemical industry tariff)
